Homeopathic HCG Sample Meal Plan

February 15th, 2010

Have you decided to tackle the homeopathic HCG diet? That, in itself, is no surprise. The weight loss results are amazing (drastically amazing). Average weight loss results are between 1 to 2 pounds of weight loss per day. And successful dieters leave the program with new, healthier eating habits that increases the likelihood that they will successfully maintain their new, healthier weight and that their quality of life will increase.

One new, healthier habit that dieters walk away from the diet with is the ability and the desire for healthy food items like raw fruits and vegetables. Americans are snackers. And “snacks” in the traditional American sense of the word is a horrible habit. Dieters on HCG find themselves quite capable of reaching for an apple instead of the box of Cheez Its.

Dieters are also newly aware and capable of healthy cooking. Homeopathic HCG dieting practically requires at home meal preparation. Dieters learn to prepare their foods quickly, easily, and using healthy preparation methods. The eCookbook offered as a tool from HCG Diet Direct ensures that there are a number of appropriate recipes that are HCG diet approved.

The trick to success on the homeopathic HCG program is actually sticking to the protocol. And sticking to the protocol doesn’t mean starving. A sample plan can ease the stress that is brought on by the stated limit of 500 calories that scares off many prospective dieters. Here’s a sample homeopathic HCG meal plan that can be put to use without high stress and with amazing results.

Breakfast: herbal tea (your choice of flavors), and lots of water (with lemon is that’s your preference)

Lunch: chopped chicken and chopped tomatoes on Melba Toast (you can have 2), half a grapefruit and lots of water (aim for at least two large glasses at each meal)

Dinner: 2 melba toasts along with chicken and asparagus soup (check the HCG Diet Direct eCookbook), 5 strawberries, and 2 glasses of water with lemon

Snacks on the diet can be fruit (just don’t add it to your meals and instead save it for snacks). Dieters can also have as much herbal tea as often as they want. And dieters should always reach for water (with lemon) any time they want to eat between meals. This will ensure two things: one, they will get plenty of water and two, they will have less problems when it comes to snacking. Consider the sample meal plans before you decide to do the diet. But don’t try to actually implement one until you’ve started the homeopathic HCG. The homeopathic HCG is what makes sticking to the very low calorie diet requirements possible.

Second to Last Day on HCG

January 31st, 2010

It’s day 24! I can hardly believe it. That means that tomorrow is the last day of the low calorie portion of my homeopathic HCG diet. (My oral HCG wholesale still has plenty left since I purchased the 26-40 day bottle). I successfully completed the initial two days that they call loading. And I’ve almost successfully completed the 23 days of the low calorie portion of the diet. Next I just have the 26 days left of the maintenance portion of the diet.

Today when I weighed myself I was at 151. Yesterday I was at 152 so I’m down one more pound. I still love seeing the numbers go down. It’s so fun.

I kind of miss taking my oral HCG wholesale! For the last few weeks it was a 3 times throughout the day ritual. I did take my B-Total in the morning. I had a stressful day and the instructions say that you can take it during times of stress so I took it again in the afternoon. I’m telling you this B vitamin supplement is some very handy, very helpful stuff!

I haven’t tried any more of the smoothies in the HCG Diet Direct cookbook. (Not only does HCG Diet Direct offer oral HCG wholesale, but they offer a few of the best tools and accessories I’ve discovered in my online searches). The smoothies sound really good, but it’s the middle of winter so I just don’t feel like “cold” stuff, I guess. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try another one. My kids have been asking for the Orange Slush, though. That’s proof that it’s a good recipe if the kids ask for it.

Lunch was steak with grilled onions thrown on top. I finished it off with some tea. It was pomegranate this time. It wasn’t bad; way better than the Green Tea and definitely better than the Red Zinger. For snack I had grapefruit and Melba Toasts (and more tea).

For dinner I had asparagus, chicken, Melba toasts and strawberries. I feel like I did really well. I hope I lose another pound or two on my last day of the diet. That would be a perfect finishing touch!

Down Another Pound on Day 19

January 12th, 2010

It’s day 19 on my HCG Diet. I’ve lost another pound. It’s like an amazing game that I’m winning. Every day I follow the rules and then I lose more weight. It’s just lovely. It’s exactly how a weight loss program is supposed to work!

Today I weighed myself a bit late in the morning. My daughter woke up in the middle of the night sick and I ended up most of the early morning hours. Once she fell back asleep it was too late for me to get back in bed so I stayed up. It threw me off my routine a bit.

Anyway…I lost a pound. That puts me at 154 pounds. That means that I’ve lost a total of 17 pounds on the homeopathic HCG diet so far. I’m loving these results. The promoted average weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per day (men, of course, claim the higher averages). And I’m really right there with the average. I find that SO exciting!

HCG Diet Direct reviews that I ran across while surfing the Internet indicate that I’m not the only one pleased with my results. I definitely think I should leave a couple HCG Diet Direct reviews of my own, though. It’s the least I can do.

I am getting to be pretty savvy at preparing healthy foods in my own kitchen. I know how to make healthy easy and I know how to make it good. I’m starting to depend on healthy options rather than the easy, but very unhealthy options that are all over the place in our day to day lives. As an example…I had leftover lean steak for lunch along with grapefruit and Melbas.

For dinner I had Buffalo Chicken Salad from the HCG Diet Direct Cookbook. I added an apple and Melba Toasts on the side and I was all set. I’ll have to make sure to add a referral for the cookbook when I get online to leave my HCG Diet Direct reviews since I’ve found it to be utterly amazing.

My 14th Day on the HCG Diet: Homeopathic Weight Loss

January 5th, 2010

So today is day 15 of the HCG diet. I’m on a 25 day program so I’ve completed a substantial portion of the program. The diet consumer reviews that I’ve read insisted that the halfway point was key. They insisted that once you got there you had your habits set and you could go off routine. They said you’d naturally reach for veggies and fruits and that I’d automatically prepare my foods using healthy methods.

I disagree with this particular little grain of knowledge gleaned from the diet consumer reviews. I don’t find it easy yet. I don’t think I’ll ever find it easy. And I think that’s alright. I know I’m capable of doing what I’m supposed to do on the HCG diet because I’ve had perfect days when it comes to my diet. I’ve got a few yummy recipes under my belt and I feel comfortable knowing that I understand some of the basic tips and strategies. But I can’t say that I’m not still tempted just to break the rules.

But that’s an improvement, right? At least I’m not constantly giving in to the temptation to break the rules! I’m aware of the rules and I’m aware of my ability to stick to them. The question has become whether or not I will! Today I weighed in at 156. I lost 3 pounds. Wahoo! I love those days.

I took my HCG morning, noon and night. I took my B-Total mid-day. That’s different; I usually take it first thing in the morning, but I don’t think it matters as long as you take it once per day. I do agree with the fabulous diet consumer reviews that I read regarding the B-Total. It’s utterly fabulous in addition to the HCG.

For lunch I had a green onion burger (it’s in the cookbook) and half a grapefruit. I had Melba Toasts for snack later on in the afternoon. I finally found some more of the Spicy 3 Pepper flavor that is so delicious. I can’t decide if it’s just in comparison to all the other available “cracker” flavors at my disposal or if I am going to continue thinking they’re fabulous post-diet and post-maintenance when I can occasionally indulge in a Cheez It or two. We’ll see, I guess.

Dinner was the HCG Diet Direct Cookbook Taco Salad. I didn’t like it very much. But I think that’s because taco salad is kind of a childhood memory thing for me. So substituting and altering it to fit the HCG diet was a big deal. Apparently I’m not that big on change when it comes to Taco Salad! But I think that might be a personal problem so don’t take this as a negative review of the recipe. Try it for yourself and just make note that I’m a little obsessed with Doritos on the bottom of mine…and those are definitely not HCG approved.

Day 16! Still on the HCG Diet!

January 3rd, 2010

Day 16 on the HCG Diet. That means I’ve only less than 10 days left on the low calorie portion of the diet. Just to recap in case some of you are just joining us or in case some of you are forgetful: the diet starts off with 2 days of loading. Loading is taking in as much fatty calories as possible. This increases the absorption of the HCG into the body. After loading the very low calorie diet begins (500 calories per day). This lasts for 23 more days.

Once you complete the low calorie portion of the diet you start what they call the maintenance diet. I’m all for being prepared (or over prepared as some might call it) so I’ve been looking into the maintenance diet lately. During the maintenance diet you can eat as much food as you want. (But no more than a total of 1500 calories per day). And there are a few exceptions when it comes to the actual foods that are okay to eat while on the maintenance diet. You can’t have any sugar or dextrose or honey or molasses or high fructose corn syrup or corn syrup or artificial sweeteners. You can’t have any nitrites or fast food. You can’t have any trans fat. And you can’t have any starch of any kind.

That’s a pretty extensive exception, I know. But after the 500 calorie diet it sounds like heaven. I’m so used to limiting myself that the 1500 calorie per day maintenance diet is going to be a breeze; at least that’s what I’m hoping. And it helps that the restrictive diet is actually working; seeing your weight drop is fabulous incentive to keep going.

Alright so now that we’ve had that nice little recap from loading to low calorie to HCG maintenance diet we can move on. Today I weighed in at 156. I know! I did so good yesterday and no weight loss. I decided to add some green tea in (which I did…YUCK!) and try to drink a lot more water. I think I messed up with my water intake yesterday. I didn’t fill a pitcher first thing in the morning so I don’t really know how much I drank.

I took my HCG and my B-Total as required for the HCG diet. I’m getting used to the timing required; no eating/drinking for 15 minutes before or after you take the drops three times per day. And the hold under your tongue for 15 seconds thing isn’t a big deal. The stuff doesn’t taste disgusting or anything. It’s fine.

Today I ate another green onion burger for lunch (leftovers) with the other half of the grapefruit I had yesterday and Melba Toasts. For dinner I had the last of the grilled chicken I had in the fridge (leftovers again). And I drank so much water that I was afraid I might make myself throw up. So I’m crossing my fingers that tomorrow I’ll see weight loss again.

My 13th HCG Day Down!

December 29th, 2009

If you read my summary of events yesterday then you’re probably very hatefully waiting to see my weight jump up by several pounds. And I’d deserve it. I did break all HCG protocol and oral HCG reviews advice and indulge in disgustingly (yet tasty, it had to be said) fattening items like homemade potato salad, green salad doused in Caesar dressing and massive turkey legs (grilled, but still). It was a very bad day for my HCG diet.

But if you’re a hater and you’re hoping my weight will jump by several pounds you’re going to be disappointed. Because when I got on the scale this morning I was still at 160. I stayed the same. Now I would rather have dropped a couple pounds, but staying the same in this particular instance is totally agreeable.

I might still be punished with a jump in my weight. The oral HCG reviews suggest that it can happen that way. But still…for today I’m saved. Alright. I’ll quit being dramatic. But it is lovely that I wasn’t punished for my bad eating behavior yesterday.

I took my B vitamin supplement and my HCG in the morning. And I took the HCG twice more as outlined in all the oral HCG reviews as well as the official HCG protocol. So that’s one big A+ for the day. I jumped online for some inspiration and read through a bunch of oral HCG reviews noting the end results for people who really benefited from the program. I was also looking for an easy fix to screwing up the diet in the midst of the program. Nothing totally amazing popped up to avoid weight gain from lack of appropriate HCG eating. Dang it!

But for today it doesn’t matter because I stuck to plan. I had Creole seasoned, grilled chicken. I actually cooked up several so there would be extra for later on this week. With the chicken I had a fresh, sliced tomato and some Melba Toasts. I tried squeezing lemon into all my water throughout the day. It makes it much more refreshing and feels a little fancy if you see the lemon floating in the water. I forced some green tea down early on in the day. It’s still horrible. But apparently it’s a good weight loss booster that you can use in combination with the HCG drops so I’m going to try it now and then. That’s what the oral HCG reviews say, anyway. And my fruit for the afternoon was an apple while I waited for the school bus to arrive.

For dinner I used some of the chicken I cooked at lunch to make Chicken Asparagus Soup. I really like it. I was never attached to asparagus before, but I’m becoming quite accustomed to it. Although I’m kind of hooked on the entire soup section of the HCG Diet Direct cookbook. It’s got some great stuff in there. I had Melba Toasts with the soup and an apple. They’re just so easy and mess free. I can even throw them in my purse when I’m running out the door!

HCG Diet, Day 12

December 25th, 2009

I’m going to start off the day’s review by saying that I should have paid more attention to the diet reviews I read. They told me that I should just stay home whenever possible. And it’s absolutely true. The program is pretty short so I could have been a hermit throughout it; no big deal. I lean a little towards hermit anyway. Today’s Day 12 on the diet. Since I’m doing the 25 day program I’m about half way. My buddy, Lisa, who is doing the diet with me as an added sense of inspiration (a.k.a. competition) is also still sticking to the plan for the most part. We’re a bit neck and neck when it comes to total weight loss and I really want to win the side bet we made.

But I might not! I just had to say it once and now I’m going to go back to acting as if I’m totally going to win hands down. I’ve lost a ton of weight. I’m doing fine and I’m identifying pitfalls as they come so that I can avoid them.

The day started off the same as usual. I got up and weighed myself. I’ve done pretty well so far remembering to note down my weight daily. I went down one pound. And I’m always good with one pound down. I’m officially at 160. That means I’ve lost a total of 11 pounds in 12 days. I’m liking the sound of that.

I thought when I started that the weight coming off would be inspirational and make it easy for me to stick to the diet; even though I read several diet reviews that said they loved the weight loss, but still had a hard time sticking to the strict guidelines. And it’s true. It’s still not easy. But I’m just going to keep a running list of the places and activities that I just have GOT to avoid while I’m on the low calorie diet. One for sure “no admittance while on 500 calorie diet” area is the Mall’s food court. I was absurd to imagine that would work out. It didn’t. And it won’t; ever.

Today I identified another problem location: family parties. I went to my niece’s birthday party. I took my HCG in the morning. I took my B-Total. I took my HCG again before I left for the party. It was supposed to be a barbeque lunch. So we didn’t eat before we left. But as sometimes happens at family parties there were delays; barbeque lunch because barbeque dinner and I was STARVING!

Waiting too long to eat is a definite problem. I’ve already noticed that. But this day was way worse than the sitting at home and didn’t make lunch until I was actually hungry day. I think my stomach was actually starting to eat itself. And then they served up barbequed sausage and turkey legs; which is absolutely fabulously yummy, but WHAT? Where was all the grilled chicken? Along with that I had the choice of Caesar salad or potato salad. I’ll cut the long story short and say…well, I did avoid the cake. That’s saying something, right? I should have paid more attention to those diet reviews before I put myself in the midst of a family party. I should have put some grilled chicken in a baggie in my purse or something. (Although that sounds really gross…)

Article 17: Day Three on VLCD

December 24th, 2009

Yesterday was hard! Can I complain just a moment. If you read yesterday’s article you’re probably sick of it, but just really quick. I’ll paraphrase. I ended up in the mall food court surrounded by my kids’ lunch: Panda Express and Chick-Fil-A! Tell me that you would have broken. I think that most normal people would have! But, regardless of the severe temptation I should not have given in and I have made a promise to myself that I will not frequent the mall food court again until the diet is complete. It was too rough!

Today I got up and weighed myself. I went down even though I didn’t stick to plan yesterday. I’m now down to 163. That’s pretty cool. I was already mad enough that I broke and had non-approved chicken yesterday. (Panda Express and Chick-Fil-a both have amazingly tasty chicken, but none of it is HCG approved. They’ve GOT to learn some healthy cooking methods).

After I weighed myself I took my B-Total and my HCG drops. I whipped out my booklet that came with my products and gave it a quick read through. Then I got online and looked up Dr. Simeons protocol. I decided to call the hcg weight loss cure guide a supplemental guide to Dr. Simeons HCG cure protocol ebook. That’s how I ended up spending the morning reading it online. I decided that maybe I’d be less likely to break the diet if I read more of the background information.

I’d heard or read most of it before, but a refresher is always good. Maybe if I read a bit of protocol update every day I’ll be less likely to fall off the wagon again. I definitely want to take advantage of all the weight loss possible while on the diet. I don’t want to waste my efforts!

So after I took my second set of HCG drops about noon I made lunch. It was turkey chili. And it was great. I think it’s all the fresh tomatoes that make it so yummy. Any soup with fresh tomatoes in it seems to turn out really tasty in my experience. And one other tip for you is to try the Spicy 3 Pepper Melba Toasts. They are really, really good (especially in comparison to your other flavor choices from Melba Toast). For my fruit…I had a Gala apple for snack later in the day.

I had another dose of HCG around 5pm and for dinner I had grilled chicken (I seasoned it with that yummy Creole seasoning I mentioned in an earlier article). I served it up to the kids, too. They loved it. With the chicken we had steamed asparagus. And we all had some strawberries for dessert. I patted myself on the back for sticking to plan today and then had to drink 3 glasses of water so that I wouldn’t reach for a late night snack because I had to stay up late to catch up on work. But I did it; for today I only ate HCG approved foods.

On the 10th Day of My HCG Diet

December 24th, 2009

I can’t believe it’s been 10 days. That’s a week and a half. And I’ve made it so far. Not only have I made it, but I’ve lost 9 pounds.

I got up and got on the scale today and I was at 162.2. Not horrible (I didn’t go up), but not great because I didn’t go down either. I told myself that less than one pound of weight lost in a day was meaningless and I wouldn’t mention it, but apparently I’m going to anyway. (I did go down by .6 of a pound). I checked and I didn’t eat anything too horrible yesterday. I stuck to the diet.

I decided that I need to watch my portions. I’ve been having a lot of soup and I think maybe I’m overdoing the portions. So I’m going to be more careful from now on. And again…I think I could drink more water.

The huge cups that I was carting around have fallen into disfavor. They’ve spilled HUGE amounts of water in far too many places throughout my house (and car) while I was carrying them around trying to make sure I always had water on hand. So instead I think I’ll try water bottles. That way I can cart them around and keep them wherever I want without fearing that I’ll end up with a huge water logged mess.

So I’ve been carting around a water bottle. I did take my HCG morning, noon and night. I took my B-Total Sublingual before lunch. (I usually take it in the morning, but I was having a lazy morning so I waited for my energy boost until I was actually going to get up and about for the day). For lunch I had leftover soup (an appropriate portion).

My little girl is having a sleep over tonight with a friend. I made grilled chicken and asparagus for dinner. The sleep over friend would have none of it so she got a cheese crisp and some milk. But the kids ate it alright. Then there was a big calamity. The girls decided making cookies was the perfect sleep over activity. I set them all up, helped them make cookies and then helped them eat a couple. I KNOW! I was very bad. I wasn’t quite sure what to do about it after the fact so I just skipped my fruit for the evening. I feel that falls far short of actually making up for the cookie breakdown, but there wasn’t anything to do about it after the fact.

I’ll definitely have to do better tomorrow. And I’m not really even thinking positively when I say that. It would be kind of hard to do WORSE don’t you think?

And I’m Still on the HCG Diet

December 21st, 2009

It’s Day 7! One week down, right? I feel like I’ve reached a milestone in my HCG weightloss system. I’ve done alright so far. In my first week on the diet I lost 6 pounds. And since the average is from 1 to 2 pounds per day I figure I’m on track. There’s room for improvement, but I’m on track.

I got up this morning and weighed myself and found I’d gone down again. Yesterday I went up one pound. Today I’m weighing in at 162. So that’s nice. I went up a pound yesterday, but today I’m down two. So it’s almost like I didn’t go up yesterday at all. At least that’s what I’m telling myself! And now I’m at the one pound a day average.

After I weighed myself I took my B-Total and HCG drops. I totally agree that the B-Total is a fabulous addition to the HCG weightloss system. I like the added energy. I keep my B-Total in the bathroom so I take it when I put on my makeup. And I keep the HCG in the fridge (it needs to be kept in a cool place) and I take it when I’d normally be eating breakfast. I keep the scale under my bed. Sounds odd, I know, but my 9 year old (totally adorable and skinny daughter) went through a phase of being obsessed with weighing herself. So I don’t like to keep scales around the house.

So obviously I didn’t plan to keep the scale under the bed for convenience sake, but I have to say it’s totally convenient! It works perfectly for me. I pull it out in the morning to get my weight and write it down and then I put it away. So far I’ve remembered to weigh myself everyday and I think that’s pretty impressive. I’m normally the type of person that forgets stuff like that so go ahead and give me a quick round of applause.

So at lunch I took the HCG and then prepared one of the cookbook’s recipes: Turkey Burgers. The ingredients were ground turkey, green onions and seasonings. And something about the combo was just perfect once it was done and I wrapped it in lettuce leaves instead of the traditional bun. If you’re thinking about trying the recipes…this is a good one to start with. It was absolutely easy and tasted great. It was my protein and vegetable. Then I added Melba Toasts and a grapefruit and I was all done for lunch.

After I took my evening dose of HCG I made dinner. I finished off the chili from the other day (with crackers and apples on the side). It was still really yummy. And it was easy. My kids liked it, too. And that’s a load off because they can be kind of picky about trying new things. I guess they couldn’t tell the difference between regular Chili and HCG approved Chili. I tell you…it’s that good.
